Artistic Bliss : Thirty One Days .....

Happy New Year ! Pleasure to meet you 2013 .

I stumbled upon this image on a friends Instagram  @TheNewBeautyReview and she posted that she wanted to do this , I was instantly intrigued , anything that pushes me outside of my artistic box and reach to see what can unfold in la casa de Grafitti Couture , I am in with bells and whistles on. So I am going to post a 2 in 1 post for yesterday and today being that , um I only saw this this morning. 

Date : January 1st , 2013 

#1 . TODAY 

I rewrote my life story . I came across this ahmazing lady MariaBrophy almost a year and a half ago and read her articles on " Helping creative people design the career and lifestyle of their dreams " . I love how informative she is , the does and don't on licensing your art , the proper way to go about copyrighting your images and becoming the successful artist you are destined to become. She posted the article that I needed to see right in that very moment.

She said to ask yourself these questions :

" To help you get a clear vision of what you want as a career artist, get a piece of paper and write a list.  Break it down into categories:

• What type of Artist do you want to be?
• What do you want to be known for?
• What impact do you want to make on the world with your art?
• How much money do you want to make from your art?
• What is the ideal lifestyle for you as an artist?

For each category, envision the ideal situation for yourself in a paragraph.  Write exactly what you want, no matter how big it seems.  Trust that you can make it happen.

ONCE YOU’VE DECIDED, MAKE A COMMITMENT. "

I thought to myself , OMG , yes this is what I needed to better clarify in my mind what I want , be known for and how I want to affect or change the world with my art . I said , yup , tonight you write Elizabeth . I did just that got my kids to bed , opened up the journal , began to envision my life how I want it to be and I let the lyrical flow run free. It was ahmazing , liberating and I realized things that I didn't know I wanted and tada , here it was in front of me in bold blue sharpie marker .... I spoke my truths . 

Now it's up to me to take the proper ACTIONS and Create the life I always DREAMED of and Believe me I am determined to do just that .

#2 . SOMETHING NEW 

Today was the day to empty out my computer of all it's junk , files , software , apps that I just didn't need anymore. Highly recommend doing that , I feel like Louie ( iMac ) feels 100 pounds lighter and now has that much more space to hold newer , more insaner Grafitti Couture Illustrations . The something NEW part . I reinstalled the Trial Versions of Adobe CS6 . I am saving my pretty pennies to get the Premium or Master Collection. But for now I simply take advantage of Photoshop Extended , Illustrator , Muse , InDesign and Light Room. That something NEW may not be exciting to you all but it is to me bc it is my escape into my world of imagination and creation , so I am super excited to play around with them more and more. I will most likely join Adobe Cloud which cuts the cost of owning it considerably low. 

Tonight I CREATE ! Tonight I CREATE Something NEWER and post my creations tomorrow. I hope you all are at the start of a great New Year , I know I am . Make every moment COUNT !
